Here, all the shenanigans, secrets, jokes, lies, loves and laughs are laid bare, covering a span of history from before the traditional owners of the land traditionally owned it to the modern day (when the land is owned with much greater formality, legal force and economic will).
The hidden histories of Melbourne are variously tragic, humourous, satirical or marvellous, but they are, without exception, fictional. Any resemblance to persons living or dead is in spite of strenuous efforts to the contrary, and no disrepect is intended to any of the people whose histories I’ve played with or their families, or, for that matter, to the people whose histories I’ve invented out of whole cloth.
