Stay put, do as I told you to do, and wait for Greta to sort it out. I’m sure she’ll be along directly.

Regarding my new assignment

From: Gerrit Sollivan

Subject: Regarding my new assignment

There seems to have been some sort of communication failure, sir. Mr, ah, Peet, says that he was not informed that I would be joining him, and that he doesn’t wish to work with an assistant. He seems most upset.

I am unsure of how to proceed in this situation. What are your instructions, sir?

Your New Assignment

From: Cornelius Andersen
To: Gerrit Sollivan
Date: 6, 8:01
Subject: Your New Assignment

Gerrit,

We’ve hired an outside consultant to get to the bottom of claims by Hall Biotique that we didn’t fulfil our contract. I’m assigning you to the contractor, Peet. You’ll technically be under him for the duraction, but you report to me.

While I don’t think there’s anything to this, I want you to keep your eyes open, and let me know soonest if you do find anything. To be absolutely clear: you are not to impede the investigation in any way. Your role is to do what Peet tells you, and report back to me if there is a need.

Gerrit,

it’s important to me that you understand just exactly how much weight you have to throw around here.

Because outside of the Dristeen project, you have no weight whatsoever. You’re a hydrogen balloon on the wind.

Everything is currently progressing according to schedule, and until and unless things go otherwise, you have no call to get involved. And if you do, you’ll hear it from me first. Understood?

When can I expect to see these reports?

Minutes of Meeting, Date 5/00/00 (cont)

Agenda Items (cont):
3) Dristeen Ducal Line Project
W. Monday and F. Davis both expressed reservations regarding the time and budget allotted to this project, and also to the feasibility of some of specifications. G. Kliest offered them a budget increase including several new hires, the details to be negotiated. C. Andersen moved that this be accepted with a capped budget, and the motion was carried 4 to 2 (Monday and Vincent voting against).
F. Davis was appointed project leader, and G. Sollivan as oversight.

4) Hargraeves Lawsuit
G. Kliest reported on the Hargraeves Lawsuit, and it was generally agreed that a wait and see approach was the best tack to take. H. Vincent offered to use some contacts of hers to learn more about the situation covertly, and this was accepted in general conversation, although Andersen expressed reservations regarding it.

The meeting was closed at 13:56.

Minutes of Meeting, Date 5/00/00

The meeting was called to order at 10 AM. In attendance were the following:
Cornelius Andersen (chair)
Greta Kliest
William Monday
Francis Davis
Hailey Vincent
Gerrit Sollivan (secretary)

Agenda was read by G. Sullivan and accepted by general consent.

Agenda Items:
1) Current Projects
W. Monday and F. Davis reported on the progress of current projects. Of the three current projects, two (Hall Biotique and Fringe Developments) are on or ahead of schedule, while the remaining project, Leonidas Settlements, is behind schedule. This was explained as being due to unreturned communications from Leonidas Settlements, and Greta undertook to direct legal to create and send a letter of demand.

2) Future Projects (not including Dristeen Ducal Line Project)
There is only one other project currently on the schedule, which is a short job for Parkes-Za’ar concerning the recombination of electroreception genes into the human genome. Davis was optimistic that this project could be done on time and within budget.
