Re: [6] Help me out? |
Yeah, I don’t know why he’d do that. Maybe it was something to do with his relationship at the time. Hell, I wouldn’t put it past him to quit and then change his name anyway as a fuck you.
And I’ll tell ya, if it ain’t true, it oughta be!

Re: [5] Help me out? |
Is that true? I mean, I can’t imagine Billy signing a contract like that if he’s like you say.

Re: [4] Help me out? |
You have heard how Monday’s not actually the name he was born with?
The story goes that he used to wipe himself out so exceedingly thoroughly each weekend that his boss made changing his surname to Monday part of his contract conditions for re-signing, just so that he wouldn’t be able to say that he forgot there’d be a Monday and that was why he was so trashed.

Re: [3] Help me out? |
Really? I never got why everyone seems to complain about Billy. Sure, he’s got a big mouth and a high opinion of himself, but I’ve never seen him say something and not come through.

Ms. Ice Water In Her Veins? Doubtful.
If she’s asking weird-sounding questions, there will be a reason, and it will all make sense. Sooner or later.
Greta’s got a pretty calm head. How do you think she manages to get any work, let alone his best, out of Billy Monday?

Re: Wait a minute! |
I can only think of two reasons why that might happen:
1 – because everyone over there is a complete idiot, or
2 – since I never got the impression that Benzi was an idiot, because they’re trying to pull a fast one somewhere along the line.

If server ships are for backups, why would the only copy of our contract be on one? I mean, shouldn’t they have a main storage – and other offsite backups?

Because she was asking me really strange questions earlier. Is it possible the pressure’s getting too much for her?

Re: [3] Hey! |
That at least makes a certain amount of sense. But why would the only record of our contract with them be on one of those?
Never mind, thinking out loud. I’ll ask Benzi.

Re: Re: Re: Hey! |
Well, a Server Ship is like a massive, massive server farm, installed on an interstellar ship. You use them to get around the lightspeed barrier on communications – pack ‘em full of every conceivable backup doc you need and send ‘em out to wherever you’re building. Presto, instant colony library/bureaucracy.
