The Good Book: Proverbs, chapter 4: Affliction

1 – Affliction is like the blacksmith’s hammer; it shapes as it smites.
Is it just me, or didn’t we already cover this back in Adversity?
2 – Everyone has enough courage to bear others’ afflictions.
True, but again, too brief. One of the major faults of the Bible from a secular perspective is that it can be interpreted so many ways. A secular replacement for that book should strive to be clearer than this one is.
