The Center Cannot Hold is the blog of Loki.
And as you have almost certainly realised, the title of it derives from W.B. Yeats’ classic poem, The Second Coming. For those of you not familiar with it, the relevant section runs:
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand…
I can’t promise a revelation – but if I hear of one, I’ll be sure to let you know.
Pretty nice post. I just found your site and wanted to say
that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way
I’ll be subscribing to your blog and I hope you post again soon!
Just wondering if you will continue to update the Trade Paperback timelines? Specifically Marvel. Its has really come in handy for me as i have started to get back into comics. Also noticed that part 3 of Marvel Earth 616 is blank.
Thanks for all the work you do.
Thanks for the kind words, goldenboy, and yes, I am plannning on getting back to the timelines in the very near future. Work has been kinda crazy, but things are finally calming down now and I have a little more time for this sort of thing
That is great to hear. Your time line has inspired me to start buying everything in order and read from the start. It is a costly but enjoyable practice.
Thanks again.
